it's cheaper to eat at one of the little restaurant here but sometimes it's nice to be able to just whip something up where we are too. grilled cheese sandwiches with onions! can get meals here for 30 baht which is 1$. 1$!!!!! I've been eating a lot of fried rice with seafood. so gooda! tonight my roomie doug is cooking up a feast for us all. Im sure i will take a picture of that too. tomorrow him and i are jumping in a couple of kayaks and heading over to one of the islands for the day.
10:35pm
while eating dinner a giant bat flew into the common area all around us and then into the kitchen and vanished. i got to see it in the light as it was flying through the kitchen... i wish i had my camera handy! next time. i love bats. and then when we were watching a movie something the size of a mouse scurried across the floor... i think it was a cockroach. the walls are covered in geckos and i've seen two lizards. all the wild life here is keeping me constantly entertained. i loooooooove it.

FACK! That reminded me of the time a spider ran across my floor and I thought it was a mouse. fucking sick.
ReplyDeletecan you snap some pics of the food you eat when out and about... I wanna see what the locals eat.
ANNND. if you find any tiny thai pants, can you bring them back for the wee one? shanks.
Also. I think we should work on our relationship when you are back.
peace and love.
yes yes and yes.
ReplyDeleteinteresting your request for the food pics. i snapped some shots tonight. one pic is of an entire fish and the other of fried rice with scallops. soooo good! pretty sure when i get back i will be shopping at t&t a lot. soy bean oil is the shhhhhit! also, pineapple jam here and soy milk in glass bottles like a bottle of beer. long green beans, tomatoes and shallots get chopped up and used in the fried rice a lot. i had one dish on the way here that was some kind of fish all chopped up into little pieces with a crap ton of chills, so hot i had to pick them out but it was really good after that (just served on rice) super basic but tasty. mostly fish sauce with chopped up red and green chills in it for heat. any who! pics to come! xo peace and love.
